Getting a Good Faith Estimate
When Buying a Home
If you did not get a Good Faith
Estimate within three business days of the
receipt of your loan application, contact your
Utah County lender or mortgage broker and ask if
it has been sent. The lender is not required to
provide a GFE if your application was denied
before the end of the three-business-day period.
However, it is important to get a GFE to know
your actual costs of your loan prior to closing.
If they refuse to give you a GFE or if it was
not provided to you within three business days
after the lender or mortgage broker received
your complete loan application you may want to
look for another lender.
